Moscovski Zoopark

On Tuesday, Adam and I decided to go to the Moscow Zoo. It’s really close to our house and amazingly only involved going up and down one flight of stairs. We encountered this little guy on our way over. I’ve never seen anything like it and we weren’t even at the zoo yet.

Let me preface the remainder of this post by stating that I LOVE zoos. I’ve been going to zoos for many years before having Adam. Now that I have a baby its just even more justification for going to zooz.

The Moscow Zoo was interesting. They had some amazing animals, a huge sea walrus, a spotted leapard, cheetahs, elephants and dolphins. But…there were huge crowds around the the few interesting animals which made it hard to see any animals. There were no crowds around the 45 bird exhibits they had. The zoo was also HUGE. But it was mostly fluff (animals I have no interest in seeing because I can see them in my regular life…birds, turtles, more birds, raccoons).

But we did still have a good time.

After a while, I decided it was more interesting to try to take pictures of some of the outfits that were seen at the zoo.

I’ve been here too long. I can’t tell if this is super stylish or not…but i think that much see through lace is never in style. Kate, can you back me up here?

When we got home we decided to relax for a while before Randy got home. Being pushed in a carriage for four hours is exhausting.

The best part of the zoo was by far this purchase for Adam. I’m convinced its a hippopotaumus. Randy disagrees due to a fluffy tail. I agree hippos do not have fluffy tails but I think this was a mistake on the manufacturers part. Randy’s guess is a racoon. Any otehr guesses?
