Adam loves to carry stuff and insisted on carrying my baskets for me, such a gentleman!
Sunday we went to Ocean Park aquarium
I really wanted Adam to see the aqaurium. He loves animals and I thought he would love it and he did love it! Full disclosure, it was a VERY hot and humid day and by the time we got there it was mid afternoon and we were all already in need of a nap. Adam was in full toddlerdom and wanted to do what he wanted to do which did not include looking at all the exhibits and posing for pictures with mommy.
I think the best piece of advice I’ve read recently about raising a toddler is to not get disappointed when planned activities don’t go as planned. I think this is pretty good advice. I like to plan things out, but sometimes it’s more important to let a hot, tired toddler run around the same cool room for as long as he wants than to see all the exhibits. Letting Adam run around the one big cool room they had was by far the best part of the day and it’s more important for all of us to enjoy our time together and focus on the time we spend together rather than what we get accomplished.
Toddler life lesson number one, learned. Thanks Aquanaut!
