I never imagined I would live somewhere where this would be only a short ferry ride away.
But let me start at the beginning. We decided for Memorial Day weekend to go to Puerto Galera. There is no flight involved to get there and for me and Randy, this will always be a big selling point. If we can get someplace without a plane we’re in. It was a short hour and a half drive to Batangas and then an hour ferry ride to Small Laguna, Puerto Galera. Words learned on the car ride- socks, shoes, no, no, no, no, no and Coco for Rico the driver.
Here we are waiting patiently for our ferry. Words learned waiting for our boat- boat, boat, boat. We are a BIG boat fan.
By the time our boat had arrived we were ready!
By the end of the boat ride we were ready for our nap.
Ha- got you. Not ready at all!
We arrived and checked into our hotel. Adam took a nap and since we had brought our trusty nanny, Maria, Randy and I headed off to check out the nearest sandy beach, Big Laguna.
The beach was ok. Nothing amazing but it was just nice to get some sun and swim.
When Adam woke up we took a quick dip in the pool and then got ready for dinner. My favorite time on vacation has always been showering after a long of sun and beach, deciding what to wear and heading out for a yummy dinner on the beach. I love it and it is so fun to have Adam there to join in. He took a bath to wash the sand and chlorine off and then spent some time looking out the window at the boats. Can you blame him, our view was beautiful!
We decided to take a walk into the nearest town, Sabang. This meant a ten minute walk along the beach. With Adam, this meant an hour walk along the beach. He picked up every piece of seaweed and sand along the way, barked at every dog we passed and tried to climb into every boat we saw.
We did finally make it to dinner and had a yummy meal followed by a family bedtime of 8:30. That sun sure does make you sleepy.
