Christmas morning seemed to come so quickly this year. Maybe its because its 85 and sunny over here!
Adam woke up on Christmas morning and we went to get him for some snuggles in our bed, our favourite thing to do when we don’t have work. He asked right away about the cookies that we left for Santa. So we went out to check things out. He was so excited to see the cookies had been eaten (thanks daddy :)!
There was an awesome easel thanks to Aunt Daf and Uncle Meej and the cutest little chair just Adam’s size from Uncle Shawn, Aunt Sandra and cousins Roman and Isla!
We decided to make some yummy apple pancakes for breakfast before opening the rest of our presents. Adam took his place on the stool and helped Randy whip up the pancakes which were delicious!
Then is was time to open all the rest of our presents!
Adam got a great blue car from Roman and Isla.
Next up a cookie jar from mommy and daddy.
And tons of fun books from Grandma Gretch!
Then it was time for the adults to open their gifts. Randy got a Kindle fire (thank you Cyber Monday for a great deal 🙂 Can you tell he was surprised.
Adam helped me unwrap my big fun red box.
What was in there you ask? The softest sheets I have ever owned and a pretty blanket. Can you tell I’m pregnant and craving sleep. I was so happy with my present! I immediately washed them and put them on our bed.
One last present for Randy, a new driver!
And because it’s Christmas and Christmas magic was in the air Adam even helped me clean up all the paper. We decided to not go crazy with presents this year and we were so happy with our decision. We each got a couple special presents that we love and are still enjoying! Thank you everyone for sending Adam suchwonderful gifts! I’m always amazed at how generous and thoughtful all our family and friends are!
After presents we fit in some Frosty watching before our nap. Then is was off to our friend’s house for a yummy BBQ and some pool time. It was a great Christmas and while we missed all our family and friends I’m happy we spent it happy and healthy!
And for those wondering how the baby enjoyed Christmas, he or she loved it! Especially those new sheets and the good night sleep we got 🙂
