Adam has had the same bedtime routine for two years now. The newest change is that Malcolm is now a part of it! From the day we brought Malcolm home he’s asked that Malcolm come watch him take a bath and read a book with us. To quote Adam – ‘I baby Malcolm book us’.
So we all go in and hang out with Adam while he takes a bath. I can’t wait until they’re old enough to take a bath together.
Then it’s time for some teeth brushing, or more like when Adam sucks all the toothpaste off the brush and splashes water everywhere.
Pajama time is next. Or what it really is like, trying to wrestle clothes onto an alligator that’s has four espressos.
Here’s our chair where Adam reads his book every night, while mommy and daddy sit in the hard floor next to him.
But Malcolm got to sit on the chair with Adam! I’m lucky, Adam loves to take pictures with Malcolm. When I’m done he says, more, more!
Then it’s time to pick a book. I love that Adam loves books. He’s so lucky he has so many, we have Grandma Gertch to thank for that. She sends Adams tons of books and he always loves them. Now he even remembers the titles and asks for them by name. He’s getting so big. Current trending favorites are Go, Dog, Go, Gruffalo and Babar.
