Fun Day

This past Friday was a Fun Day at Adam’s school.  We were team orange.  This was the first school event we’ve had and it was pretty special to get to watch Adam with his class and his friends.  All the kids walked out together with their class in a big parade.  It seems lately that Adam’s gotten so big so quickly that I want to soak in every minute of him before he gets any older.  He’s developing such a great personality (when those toddler moments aren’t getting the best of him that it 🙂 that he’s actually quite good company.  He makes jokes (that are actually funny), is so curious about everything and has such a happy soul.

As team orange we scrounged the one kind of orange shirt we had, thanks Aunt Sandra! Is there anything cuter than toddlers on parade?

Then everyone sat with their class for the opening ceremony.

Certain moments here always remind me how different things are here in the Philippines.  This was for sure of those moments.  Here is how the opening ceremony went down.  Kids were handed a burning torch and ran around the grass passing said burning torch to other kids. Remind me to make sure Adam is not picked for this honor in a couple of years.

Besides the burning torch the morning was great. It was a very hot day, 100 degrees by 8 am but we still managed to get into the games and our orange team won!

Here we are with our friends, Victoria and Devon and their moms Allison and Jackie.

The real star of the day though was the popcorn.
