Aquarium– take 5

It was Grandma’s last weekend in Manila and we decided to take her to the Manila aquarium. We hadn’t been to the aquarium in a while and it was fun to see how excited Adam was about seeing everything. It was also Malcolm’s first trip to the aquarium and he loved it!
We’re pretty lucky to have this aquarium in Manila. It’s no Sea World but it does the trick. Performing sea lions, sharks, popcorn- who could ask for anything more.

At first someone insisted on sitting in Malcolm’s stroller….but soon enough we were ready to get out!

Two boys taking in the fish.

After a sea lion show which ended with Malcolm sleeping on Grandma, I took Adam up to see the penguins.  My favorite part of the aquarium is right next to the Penguins.  It’s Manila’s equivalent of a winter wonderland.  It’s basically a sheet of ice with Christmas themed decor. But it’s Adam’s only experience with cold in two years so I always love taking him in and letting him see how cold it can be.  We have so many books that talk about snow, snowmen and ice and it’s nice to let Adam see in person what it’s all about.  Being a true tropical baby he made it about 5 minutes before he wanted out.
