Last day out with the Jordans

For our last day out with the Jordans we decided to take it outside and spend the day at Central Park.  First up, what else but the Central Park Carousel! Our tour of U.S. Carousels continues.  With smiles like these can you blame us? Malcolm was not sold on this carousel and clutched to AuntContinue reading “Last day out with the Jordans”

Yup, another zoo

We had time for one last trip to Staten Island and after dragging the boys and our moms to Home Goods, Ikea and Costco we figured we owed them something fun. So we headed to our favorite New York past time! The zoo! I’m sure you all haven’t seen enough animal pictures from our tourContinue reading “Yup, another zoo”

Dogs, Friends and Tomatoes

Our second trip to Staten Island we headed over to Grandma Gertch’s house and got to see Artie and Rico. Adam and Malcolm have been face-timing with Artie and Rico since they were babies and are both super into dogs! Adam actually asked us every day in New York if we could have a dog.Continue reading “Dogs, Friends and Tomatoes”

Durst Dinner Dominoes Day

While we were in New York Daphne and MJ hosted a yummy family dinner. It was Sunday so we decided to have a good old fashioned Italian dinner of pasta. Both Grandma’s came, Grantie Vangie, cousins Caleb, Kathryn, Kaleigh and Kathryn’s three adorable kids Josh, Peter and Lily. Adam was so excited to see Josh,Continue reading “Durst Dinner Dominoes Day”

Day out with the Jordans

Before we knew it it was time for another Friday day out with the Jordans. Aunt Das had done some research and had planned a great New York day for us! We headed out and walked to a yummy Mexican restaurant. There is nothing better than walking in New York. The sidewalks are wide, thereContinue reading “Day out with the Jordans”

Ali's Day off

For as long as I can remember when Randy and I travel we keep moving. Even through jet lag and two kids we push on and try to see and experience as much as we can. This works for us and we are always happy when we get home and have done all we wantedContinue reading “Ali's Day off”

One Day – three boroughs

We started our day with some morning cuddles with Aunt Das in Manhattan. Always a great way to start the day!  Then it was on to a ferry to Staten Island! It was Adam and Malcolm’s first time on the ferry which was pretty special for Randy and I who grew up on that ferryContinue reading “One Day – three boroughs”

Zoo Number Two

We of course had to go to the Central Park Zoo while we were in NY.  This was always one of my favorite zoos. It’s small and right in the center of the city. My BFF Gabby used to work right there and get in for free so we spent more time then two ladiesContinue reading “Zoo Number Two”

Highline

The boys amazingly adjusted to the time pretty quickly in the US and even slept in some days. But we were still up on the early side and had some time to while away on the weekends so we took some nice walks.  We set out one morning and before we knew it we wereContinue reading “Highline”
