Zoo Number Two

We of course had to go to the Central Park Zoo while we were in NY.  This was always one of my favorite zoos. It’s small and right in the center of the city. My BFF Gabby used to work right there and get in for free so we spent more time then two ladies with no kids probably should have but what can I say. I find zoos calming.
Adam and Malcolm love them too! Adam especially loves a zoo map.  He loves directing us. He even learned right and left this summer!
We met our friends Fran and John at the zoo with their oldest son Vincent. It’s so amazing to me that Randy and I met Fran in elementary school when we were just a couple years older than Adam and Vincent.  Adam and Vincent hit it off like they had known each other forever. Something in the genes I guess 🙂 They were just programmed to be BFF’s too.
While we waited for our friends to arrive we watched the seals swim around.

Malcolm was a little scared so Adam led him over to explain that the seals were behind the glass and couldn’t come any closer.

Vincent and him mom and dad arrived and they immediately set off in search of tigers and bears. I had promised Adam he could see polar bears, but apparently there haven’t been polar bears at the zoo since 2013, who knew. Luckily there were some grizzlies to keep these two entertained.

After some penguins, monkeys and bears we headed off to have a snack.  I have to say watching these two was hilarious. Even when they spilled water everywhere and didn’t eat a bite of their hamburger the cuteness factor made up for it.

I call this one, ‘what do you mean I can’t make farting noises in his face, see how much he loves it!’

After lunch and a much needed coffee it was time to go play soccer in the park. Adam had gotten a new soccer ball at Ikea and he was super excited to try it out.

The day was topped off with some ice-cream. Is there anything better than an ice-cream shared with a BFF? I don’t think so! Fran, I think you may need to move to Manila! We have ice-cream here!

And here is what happens when you try to take a picture of kids who are eating icecream,,,,

and playing with sticks….

Vincent we’re waiting for you to check out the Manila zoo!
