Flat Tire

On our way to yet another super cute Italian town, we had to take a detour due to construction and ended up on a rural farm road.  One big bump later and Uncle Nooj and Aunt Das were nowhere in my rear view mirror. We went back for them and saw their rental had a flat tire. What’s interesting is the last time I had a flat tire was also with Daphne, four years ago in DC….
Malcolm was asleep for his afternoon siesta but Adam was intrigued with the flat tire.  He wanted to see the extra tire and wanted to know what happend to the tire and how it would be fixed.   The rest of us were…not so intrigued. The boys called the rental company to ask for assistance. Daphne and I volunteered to change the tire but our services were not required and the boys insisted we go ahead and they would wait for the mechanic.
Well, you don’t have to tell us twice! We peeled out of there – we did leave the boys Malcolm’s water bottle and some snacks in case they were there a while, we have hearts after all.

We missed the boys terribly and had no fun. We did not shop at all….

We did not walk around a super cute town…..

We did not pick our noses while we waited for them….

We didn’t have any fun drinks…

We didn’t eat any yummy food or wine…..

or pizza….

We didn’t take any cute pictures…

or try on Aunt Das’ sunglasses….

We took no selfies…

Basically, we had zero fun…

Ok, maybe a little!

But don’t worry. The boys did not starve on the side of the road! They actually got the tire fixed pretty quickly and were soon joined us for some yummy eggplant parm and pizza!
