After six months of Covid lockdown we made the decision to go to Greece for a vacation. It was the first time we traveled in Covid times and the anxiety and mask wearing made the three hour flight seem endless. I was pretty nervous the entire time, convinced we would get Covid, but I have to say the flight was mostly empty, the fight attendants made wear their masks the entire time, we were tested upon arrival and we were required to wear masks the whole time on the ferry. It was a long journey, especially convincing this one to wear a mask, but we made it and it was worth every second!
We arrived and all took a deep breath!
The first villa we stayed at had these great views. We got dressed up and headed out to dinner.
Morning snuggles
Alternating morning runs were made possible by pool time
Then we headed into town for a delicious fish lunch and beach time.
Then it was back home to get dressed up and headed to dinner. We ate mostly at home in Greece and sometimes out but no matter what we always showered off the beach and dressed up. My favorite thing to do on vacation.
Next day more of the same. Having a pool makes it so much easier. The kids are amused all morning and we can take turns running.
Then it was into town for some delicious gyros.
And ice-creams because when in Greece.
More morning snuggles
The next day we headed to the center of the island to explore a new city and eat lunch before the beach. Adam wanted to take some pics so here is a day through the eyes of Adam.
I got the camera back just in time to take some pictures of this pretty town.
We all were in need of some cold drinks and lunch after exploring the town so we headed to a yummy lunch, before you guessed it – heading to the beach.
The next day more of the same. Can you tell we like a calm routine in Greece?
Then it was back home for dinner and sunsets.
We had this sunny balcony where we ate most of our breakfasts and dinners and played loads of games.
More pretty morning run views made possible by a pool and a 5 dollar flamingo I bought at the grocery.
Then, you guessed it lunch followed by you guessed it more beach time.
All dressed up for a bbq dinner at home.
These three were the happiest with ice-creams every day from these little freezers.
I was the happiest with beach naps, which are my favorite thing ever.
Beautiful sunsets and views were just what we all needed.
