How has it been three years since Miral was born?? (yes I know this post is 9 months but we still need to celebrate her turning three and catch ourselves up to current times). In honor of Miral’s 3rd birthday here are 36 months of my little Miral. I was aiming for 36 pictures but you know how it is once you go down memory lane (tear). How could I choose only 36 so get ready for a whole lot of Miral and because who doesn’t want to see a whole lot of Miral.
But first some of the things that Miral does that I love more than anything at this age-
1- You call oatmeal -oatmilk. This makes me laugh every time.
2. You call me back in to retuck in your leg or arm after bedtime if anything is poking out.
3. You LOVE having your hair braided and you always come down asking – Do I look like a princess? Yes Miral, you always look like a princess.
4. How when you wake up post nap (oh, the good old days when you used to nap) and you would want to cuddle.
5. When you burp and you love to burp you say- Guse me loudly.
6. When I ask you a question, she thinks about it and then she says hmmmmmmmmm……YES! (she was always going to say yes, but likes to make you wait for it).
7. You LOVE to scooter and you are pretty darn good at it.
8. You are a great eater, you like kale and tomatoes and all sorts of food that your brothers would never have eaten at your age.
9. You are an awesome drawer and drawer lots and lots of pictures, for us, for Maria, for all your friends at school.
10. You insist on picking out your own clothes and putting them all on by yourself, no matter how long it takes.
And now for the main event, lots and lots of pictures.
Last day Miral was inside my belly! This was taken on our way to the hospital.
I had forgotten how Malcolm used to build nests for Miral. He would collect everything in the room and put it around her to make a nice comfy nest. At the time I was so tired, didn’t want to wake the baby, thinking about how I had to put everything away that I completely missed the sweetness of my little Malcolm wanting to make a warm safe space for his new baby sister despite still working on making space for in his heart. He still takes care of her in the sweetest, gentlest way with loads of hugs and kisses.
As for Randy he was a goner from the second he looked in Miral’s big blue eyes. He pretends to not let her get away with stuff….but I mean come on, it’s pretty hard with this little face.
First Halloween, Miral was the cutest little bunny.

Adam used to love these photo shoots so much. Its funny, he used to love them when Malcolm was a baby too. Malcolm needed a bit more persuasion.
