Visitor!

We have always had a lot of visitors wherever we are living and were expecting tons of visitors in Ukraine. We had visitors lined up to come every month for the first six months, then Covid happened. No one came to visit us for a very long time. Then vaccines finally happened and Grandma Yuyu finally came to visit us after almost two years.

We were pretty excited to see Grandma and to show her some of our favorite sites in Ukraine. With Covid on the rise in Ukraine and vaccines not available for the general population yet they shut down everything so we did all our favorite outside activities. We went to the Motherland monument, which is part of the World War 2 museum, we took lots of walks and ate lots of yummy meals at home.

With grandma there to help I was able to go away with the girls from the bubble and it was exactly what my soul needed. We went nearby to this amazing pool club that had built dachas. It was too cold to swim, but we hung out inside by the fire and talked and talked and talked. I went for a great run in the woods, meditated by the lake, read my book and we celebrated Nora’s birthday. And it was over way too soon.

Also vaccinations meant we had our first meal inside in over a year. This places is located right outside of Kyiv and a hotel so it was still open.
