Adam and Claus

So we decided to take Adam to the mall and get a picture with Santa.

First I’m going to discuss all the things we could have been doing on this beautifully sunny Saturday had I not decided this was a necessary task for the Ali family.

We could have gotten diplomatic passports for Adam and me (a very necessary task that requires all three of us to be present).
We could have gone for a walk to Eastern Market and gotten some hot apple cider.
We could have gone to the Baltimore Aquarium.
We could have stayed at home and played with our new snowman balloon.

But instead we headed to the Pentagon City Mall and got on line for Santa…five minutes later we were told Santa was going on a break and we would have to come back in an hour.  This is probably where we should have packed it in and headed home.  But we decided instead to get some errands done and then get back on line.  The following half an hour wait for Santa was a VERY long one for one little boy who was tired, wanted his milk and to be free to walk wherever he wanted.

We finally made it to the front of the line and we were ready for some Santa pictures.

Here is the one and only picture we got.

Please note how scared Santa looks…

Luckily both Randy and I think this is actually the cutest picture ever and I have big plans to show it to all of Adam’s future girlfriends.

And just so everyone remembers what a cute smile Adam has here is a picture of Adam from Friday.
