You’ve all been deprived Adam pics long enough! Get ready for more than you can handle 🙂
A couple week ago Randy mentioned he would have to go to Bohol for work on July 2nd. By some bit of luck the signing ceremony Randy had to attend was moved to the third. This meant Randy could take the 5th off and we would have a 6 day trip to Bohol!
The plan was to fly in on the 2nd, Adam and I would amuse ourselves while Randy was taken on some work sightseeing events. The next day Adam and I would attend the signing and see daddy’s speech and then we would all head to the beach for four days of sun.
Small snafu, we booked Adam and I on the 8am flight to Bohol, but by the time Randy’s travel orders were approved that flight was all booked. He headed out at 6am and Adam and I took our flight alone. We boarded and the seat right next to us was empty. I kept waiting for someone to board and take that seat. The plane was booked after all, that’s why I was flying alone with a toddler…in the end the seat remained empty along with half the flight. It was great for Adam to have a seat, not great to have a toddler throw a fit for the last 20 minutes with no one to help me. Adam’s 12th flight was for sure not his best. The Ipad was put away for landing and it was downhill from there.
We landed and the tears stopped immediately of course. Sorry to anyone flying to Bohol on July 2nd at 8am 🙂
We headed off to the Bohol Bee Farm. That was where Randy and all his colleagues were being put up. It’s billed as an organic farm but it was actually just ok. The best part was the view from our room.
Adam and I made the best of it and spent the day napping and by the pool. We had some French fries and spent some time in the coconut shower.
While we were having fun at the hotel Randy was on a sightseeing extravaganza for work. He was taken on a rowboat and got to see this. This is the spirit of the river (or a man covered in mud meant to symbolize the spirit of the river).
The next morning we woke up and had some breakfast and played with some dogs. There were a lot of dogs at the bee farm. This wasn’t great since Adam has no fear of any animals and will walk up to any dog and there were too many dogs to be sure they were all friendly.
Then it was back to the room to get ready for the signing we had come to Bohol for. Randy was giving a speech so we went along to see it.
There were some delays in the signing getting started but luckily there was plenty to keep Adam and I occupied. There was a beautiful balcony with a glass railing. These pictures freak me out a bit even knowing there’s a glass wall.
Finally it was time for Randy’s speech.
After Randy’s speech, Adam and I left to go to our new hotel. It was way past Adam’s nap time and we wanted to go get settled in. We moved to Amarela Hotel. It was so much nicer than the Bee Farm.
Adam fell asleep in the car on the way to the hotel and woke up right when we got there. Resulting in a thirty minute nap. For a boy that normally naps for three hours this is what resulted.
But we all went to bed early and woke up refreshed and ready for the beach! First some breakfast. Since we’re on vacation Adam got to have mango shakes and pancakes for breakfast every day! He loves both. He calls pancakes cake. Except he pronounces it in a way that it rhymes with dock.
Then we headed down to the beach. The beach was beautiful and we were the only ones on it all day. In the morning when the tide was in we played by the boats and the hammocks.
In the afternoon the tide went all the way out and we were able to walk all along and look for hermit crabs.
After the beach we would head up to the pool to wash the sand off. After some French fries Adam would work on his newest skill, jumping into the pool!
Love this post! Love the wedding posts too but you know Aunt Das is a sucker for Adam pictures and videos!
