But our time in the hospital was also full of so many special moments. It’s easy to forget all the amazing things that happened in these four week. Those four weeks were spent getting to know our new son and sharing with Adam the excitement of becoming a family of four. It was time that Randy and I spent supporting each other.
It was spent seeing Malcolm and getting to hold him and feed him.
It was spent with all my sweet, sweet friends who sent beautiful flowers, came to visit me and Malcolm and called and wrote.
It was time spent celebrating Malcolm’s arrival with Adam. I had promised Adam that Malcolm would bring us cookies and cake. A treat for Adam and for me since I hadn’t had any sugar in seven months! Since we were in the hospital for a while we spread out the sugar and presents and had a lot of both but hey, new brothers don’t come often.
And a cool Superman toy! That Malcolm, he has good taste.
It was time spent celebrating when Malcolm could finally move into our room. We were so happy to have him to ourselves and to get to hold him all the time.
It was time spent celebrating finally bringing our son home. Which also included getting to dress him in the cutest little outfit, thanks Aunt Daf!
And just like that we were all home.
All those treats and presents from Malcolm must have done the trick, because so far Adam has been really good with Malcolm. He wants to hold him all the time and hasn’t had any epic fits over having to share his parents yet. I know it’s early days but he really seems to love Malcolm.
The sweetest! So happy everyone is home, healthy and happy. Love your family of four and can't wait to meet Malcolm! xx
