Hong Kong Walking Tour

As part of Randy’s birthday extravaganza we signed up for a China Town walking food tour. We were lucky and it was the same weekend that Kate was visiting.  We left the babies at home and took Adam with us.

Are you wondering what we were wondering? How is Manila China town going to impress Kate who lives in Hong Kong, the dumpling capitol of the world.  We had our doubts.  But you know what, Manila held its own!

We started out at a little hole in the wall that made the best vegetable rolls.  We were a little nervous to bring Adam, but he really has reached the age where his presence adds to fun. Such wit on this little guy!  Even after three hours of the tour Adam was still in a great mood!

The tour took us to areas of Chinatown that we would have been nervous to eat at.  We had the best spring rolls we’ve had in Manila.

Adam’s favorite was this mango tapioca dish. This was after he had four spring rolls.  He slurped down the entire bowl in about five minutes fast!

Here is our host for the tour.  He did a great job…until we got here. The usual dessert place was closed so we instead we were convinced to try some picked ginger,  and other stuff that I probably will not be trying again.

But we will be going back for some more dumplings!
