Day and Night

There were so many beautiful towns near Galatina, where we stayed for two weeks while in Puglia. But the one we went back to the most was Lecce. Partly because we were in love with Doppiozero, this amazing restaurant there.  But also because this town has it all, beautiful architecture, amazing food, a relaxed vibe that only a little Italian town can perfect.
Lecce is stunning at any time of the day but my two favorites are right after a long lunch when everything is still sleepy and closed for siesta and the afternoon sun is just right and just when the sun goes down and all the beautifully lights turn on showing the intricacies of the beautiful buildings.
DAY

A good 20 minutes was spent watching construction workers use a rope and pully to pull buckets full of supplies up to a second floor window, the simplest things really do amuse these two.  What i love about vacation is that we have all the time in the world to let them watch for 20 minutes if they want.

  1. The boys' smiles are infectious! The feeling of thinking of what to do or to enjoy something longer because you have the time to is bliss. It's definitely a break over schedules, appointments, meetings and commuting where time is always of the essence. It's great you all got to spend time together leisurely.
